Zimbabwean News You Can Trust
Zanu PF has stood hand in glove with Palestine as Israeli forces intensify the genocidal war of terror, which has so far destroyed hospitals, schools and churches, killing thousands of innocent children and women.
Speaking at the commemorations of the international day of solidarity with Palestinians held in Harare on Wednesday, Zanu Pf Secretary for External Relations Simbarashe Mbengegwi urged Palestinians to fight for their freedom until they are free from Israeli occupation.
He said, ” Zimbabwe was at the same situation when we were fighting against the Smith regime back then, but we remained resolute until we acquired our freedom. We fought fierce battles, innocent children, men and women were killed, but we continued with our struggle. I want to urge you Palestinians to defend your territory, and one day you will be free from this occupation.”
Meanwhile, the Palestinian ambassador to Zimbabwe, Tamer Almassri, also weighed in, urging his countryman to remain firm and resolute in these difficult times.

“We know the apartheid regime of Israel wants to destroy our tribe, they want to totally take over our land, but fellow countrymen, I urge you to remain firm and strong, because together we will end this genocide. It might not be today or tomorrow, but I promise you we will be free from these atrocities one way or another,” he said.
Women Writers Support Network (WWSN) and Chenura Trust were part of the delegation who attended the commemorations of the international day of solidarity with Palestinians. Chenura Trust performed emotional arts protests, drama and poetry as it shed light on the ongoing Israeli genocidal war against Palestinian civilians.
