The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has arrested an Eastlea gardener who reportedly raped his workmate, a maid.
According to a report made to the police, Ngonidzaishe Mujuru invited Molline Zuze to his room after work and allegedly raped her once without protection.
It is reported that Molline informed her employer, Tafadzwa Madzinga, about what had happened leading to Mujuru’s arrest.
ZRP Harare provincial spokesperson Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the arrest.
“Complainant and accused person are workmates. On 04 December 2023, and at around 0600 hours, the accused person summoned the complainant to his room. Complainant went to the accused’s room and sat on a sofa. Accused person raped the complainant once without protection, and after the act, the complainant advised her employer Tafadzwa Madzinga, aged 36 years, of the incident. A report was made at ZRP Rhodesville on 06 December 2023. Scene was attended and accused was arrested,” said Inspector Chakanza.
