Duo Nabbed For Stocktheft In Kadoma

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has arrested two suspects in connection with stock theft in Kadoma.

The suspects were arrested after a raid at their alleged hide out in Effel Flats, Kadoma. The arrests are in connection with the theft of 28 cattle in around the Turf Area of Kadoma between January 2023 and February 2024.

A Police crack team arrested the suspects after a tip off.

The arrested suspects are Francis and Takudzwa Masvora.

According to the police, their investigations revealed that the suspects had 15 cattle that they kept at their kraal. After the suspects were apprehended, eight cows, four heifers, a bull, and two calves were found at the Masvora Kraal. The animals were positively identified by five complainants.

Further investigations carried out by the police led to the recovery of 13 cattle which had been sold to five buyers. The value of the 28 cattle is USD$14 000.

In a similar incident, two heifers were stolen on March 16, 2024, at Pamene Farm in Kadoma. Suspects Munashe Mugova and Julius Hlanayi were also arrested on suspicion of having stolen the beasts.
