A Hopley man only identified by his nickname, Killer Tee, allegedly raped a 13 year old grade seven pupil on July 7 this month, after she had drank two-keys whisky that he had given her at a party in Hopley Zone 6 area in Harare South.
According to a report made to the police, Killer Tee, who was a patron at the party, gave whisky to the victim after the adults had departed the venue around 8pm in the evening, and thereafter the minor was reportedly drunk to an extent that she even failed to recall the party proceedings.
Realizing the state of the victim, Killer Tee allegedly took the victim to an unknown house in the area where he raped her without protection.
On July 8, the victim woke up in an unknown room sleeping beside Killer Tee and she realized her jumpsuit had been removed, and her underwear had bloodstains.
She then dressed up without even saying a word to Killer Tee and went home where her aunt questioned her why she didn’t return home the previous night and she narrated the whole story on how Killer Tee had gave her whisky and then sexually abused her.
On July 19 the grade seven pupil was allegedly escorted to the police by her aunt where they made a report about the abuse but unfortunatley Killer Tee was not located.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Harare provincial spokesperson Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the shocking incident and said investigations are underway.
He said, “On 7 July 2024, at around 1500hrs, the complainant attended a party in Hopley Zone 6 with her friends where the accused was also a patron. At around 2030hrs all the adults who were at the party departed, and only juveniles remained behind including the complainant and the accused.
“As the party continued, the complainant was given some two keys whiskey in a glass by the accused person, and she drank. After drinking the whiskey, the complainant became drunk and did not know what transpired thereafter. It is at this juncture that the accused person allegedly capitalized on the condition of the complainant and took her to an unknown house in Hopley.
“The accused person had unprotected sexual intercourse with the complainant. On the 8th day of July 2024 at around 0400hrs, the complainant suddenly woke up, only to realize that her jumpsuit had been removed and her pant was bloodstained. The accused person was sleeping besides her in the same blankets. The complainant dressed herself up, and then got out of the room without saying anything and went home. Upon arrival at home, complainant’s aunt questioned her as to why she did not return home the previous day, and that is when the complainant revealed everything about the sexual abuse.
” On 19 July 2024 at around 1500hrs, the complainant was accompanied by her aunt to ZRP Southlea Park and filed a report. Scene was attended and accused was not located.”
