A drunk Mabvuku man, suspected to have drunk the a potent cheap whisky known as “kambwa”, which has very high alcohol content allegedly rap*d his neighbor, an 18 year old woman.
According to a report made to the police, the suspect met the victim walking in the neighborhood on July 19, and is alleged to have forcibly dragged her to a nearby house and raped her once without protection, before disappearing on the streets.
After the incident, the victim later dressed up and went to her home, where she narrated what had happened to her mother, prompting them to report it to the Police.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Harare provincial spokesperson Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the incident and said investigations are underway.
