SA Xenophobic Attacks Resurfaces In Johannesburg

South African (SA) Xenophobia attacks has taken toll again in the Alexandra city in Johannesburg following SA nationals tension with foreigners over employment issues.

The Johannesburg Police confirmed they arrested three people in Alexandra and they have deployed more officers to several hotspot areas where the commotion is taking place to calm the xenophobic attacks.

South African citizens are demanding foreign nationals among them Zimbabweans that they should be sent back to their countries as they are taking their jobs.

The xenophobia is labelled as Operation Dudula by Alex residents, popularising the movement with five days shut down without any services operating during the period.

According to reports, South Africans in Alex responded after they were attacked by foreign nationals on 7 March.

Meanwhile, reports from South African News 24 say foreigners are only trying to feed their families and not take jobs from South Africans.
