The desperate land seekers were lured by the accused person’s offer and they paid him a minimum of USD250 which was said to be Chief’s token of appreciation and were given affidavits as proof of purchase.

Complainants were allocated land and they built houses on the land. On the 1st of February the Kadoma City Council reported the illegal settlers to CID law and order.

The accused person was arrested and he failed to give a satisfactory account of his dealings.
