The high court has yesterday ruled in favor of the country’s biggest mobile service provider, Econet Wireless against the police search warranty which had demanded details of subscribers and transactions which Econet had said was a violation of their customers’ privacy.
High court Judge, Justice Edith Mushore granted an interim order sought by Econet to revoke the warrant thereby freeing the service provider from police brutality.
Econet has 11.4 million subscribers.
