Lafarge Zimbabwe boss hopeful amidst gloomy Zim Situation

THAT the year 2020 was full of gloom should not deter Zimbabweans from being optimistic for better opportunities, LaFarge CEO Mrs Precious Nyika- Murena  says.

Posting on LinkedIn, the LAFARGE boss said this year has been branded as hopeless.

“2020 will go down as one of the most difficult years of our time .I see daily conversations on social media of hopelessness and despair.I see images of hopelessness!!!! I see Mental turmoil ….people dying before they are dead,” said Mrs Murena-Nyika

Amidst the gloom and doom, Mrs Murena-Nyika says there are many opportunities.

“Yet I choose to look at this crisis in another way .We have an opportunity here and now to shape a history, a history of resilience, innovation, agility .We have an opportunity to fast track digital transformation which already ongoing in most organizations. We have an opportunity to improve our healthcare systems!! ….look around we have opportunities in this crisis!!!,”she said. “We cannot lose hope!!! 2021 and beyond will be anchored on the decisions and choices we make today.”

Zimbabweans are ever complaining over the ever depressing economic situation. Inflation rises by the day with civil servants always on government’s throat over low salaries.
