When people goes to Murewa , it looks natural but now terror grips the minds of many when one thinks of the heinous crime that happened when the seven years old Tapiwa Makore was killed by Tafadzwa Shamba aged 40 who was sent by the deceased uncle on Thursday 17 September 2020.
The Makore family from Nyamutumbu area under Chief Mangwende in Murewa is still yet to come to terms with the gruesome murder of their beloved son and they still need justice to prevail as the senseless murder of their son has left the whole country with bitter taste in their mouths and still shocked at the same time .
Murewa detectives police officers arrested the victim’s uncle for murdering Tapiwa Makore by sending Tafadzwa Shamba a herdsman who was promised US$1500 to cut Tapiwa’s body parts.
The victim’s uncle who was arrested by a team of detectives at Murewa Police Station is continuously denying to state where they placed Tapiwa Makore’s body parts.
It is believed that the uncle is being heard continously saying the deceased name and many are now of the view that he could be losing his mind.
Tapiwa’s mother is devastated.
”Justice should be done for my son i am in great pain all l need is justice to prevail for my son who was looking forward to go to school on 9 November 2020 now he is no more,” Tapiwa’s mother said in an interview.
The remains of Tapiwa Makore has not yet been buried as the chief of the province, Chief Mangwende stated that its an abomination to burry a person with no parts since it has never happened in their community hence a funeral is still there at Tapiwa Makore’s homestead.
” Tapiwa will not be buried till his body parts are found, we are still shocked by this incident .”Chief Mangwende said in an interview.
Furthermore, citizens are raising concerns over the murder of Tapiwa Makore and a lot of people including pastors and ministers and are going to the rural home of Tapiwa Makore with food items in order to comfort the family that have been left shattered .
This is one of the worst practice that the country has come across and if life can be bought back i am sure everyone will do that for the first born of the Makore family.
