MDC Alliance Chair Thabitha Khumalo Mugged

Opposition MDC Alliance chairperson Thabitha Khumalo is reported to be in severe pain after being attacked at her home in Bulawayo early Saturday morning.
Posting on their twitter handle, MDC said their chair lady was attacked by suspected state agents.
“These are the injuries suffered by national chair, Thabitha Khumalo, who was attacked at her home by suspected state agents at her home yesterday. She was vomiting and remains poorly following the attack,
“We wish our National Chair, Hon. Thabitha Khumalo, a speedy recovery. She was violently attacked by robbers at her home in Bulawayo yesterday in suspicious circumstances. Get well soon, our warrior queen!” the MDC Alliance tweeted.
Her attackers made off with some valuables, including a laptop, three cellphones, and a 64-inch television set, Khumalo told reporters from her hospital bed where she was said to be in “severe pain” but stable.
“They started beating me up and ordered me to tell Honourable Khumalo to stop moving all over the show and be quiet,” she said.
MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa condemned the “barbaric and cowardly attack” on Twitter saying it “points to deteriorating security of persons, rule of law and the human rights situation in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe must be safe for all who live in it!”
