No Break In At Zacc Offices- ZRP

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has displaced rumors that circulated around the media that thieves broke in at the Zimbabwe Anti – Corruption Commission (Zacc)

The Police confirmed that a report of suspected unlawful entry into premises at Zacc, Mount Pleasant offices was made to the police on 15th March 2021.

In a statement, ZRP national spokesperson, Ass Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the CID investigated the place and saw no sign of forced entry.

“According to investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigations Department who include scene of crime experts, the circumstances and appearance of surroundings suggest that no breaking in occurred. Nothing was stolen or any form of tampering with objects or other items was observed.

“Indications are that the office curtain rail moved due to wear and tear thereby displacing a ceiling panel.” He said.
