MDC T leader Douglas Mwonzora has disapproved leadership styles of his nemesis CCC leader, advocate Nelson Chamisa.
Mwonzora claims comes after the two had worked together at the MDC Alliance when Chamisa was the president whilst Mwonzora was the secretary general.
They then split when Mwonzora joined the MDC T which was led by Dr Thokozani Khupe before attaining the full presidency of the party.
As a result of the split there has been an ongoing war between Mwonzora and Chamisa over the use of the MDC name and through courts Mwonzora succeeded to be the legitimate leader of the MDC.
This resulted in Chamisa forming the Citizens Coalition For Change {CCC} party.
Addressing journalists at his by elections rally in Highfields on Saturday, Mwonzora revealed his current relationship with advocate Nelson Chamisa whilst not specifically mentioning what he disapproved of the leadership of his nemesis.
“With Nelson Chamisa he is not my enemy and I have nothing against him, safe to say that I do not approve his leadership style apart from that l have nothing else.
“I have not been able to talk to him for close to seven or eight months now because we had not had any opportunity to meet and discuss,” he said.
Asked about his state visits on many occasions to meet President Emmerson Mnangagwa by journalists, Mwonzora said as the main leader of the opposition he had an obligation to consult with the Head of State.
“I am the official leader of the opposition in this country and the world over, so the official leader has always has times where they engage the Head of State.
“For the first time l went to see President Mnangagwa, I was paying a courtesy call and this was after my election as president of my party and I was there to discuss with him the situation in the country,” added Mwonzora.
Meanwhile, Chamisa will hold his first by elections rally at Zimbabwean grounds in Highfields this coming weekend on Sunday.
