The Zimbabwe Republic Police {ZRP}, today arrested a Harare man who injured nearly ten people in Harare Central Business District {CBD}.

An eyewitness at the scene, Mr Francis Chingodza narrated how Nick Matengwa stabbed and stoned both men and women in Harare CBD before the police arrested him at their George Silundika and First Street base.

“I was walking towards Kaguvi, I saw a vehicle ringing its bell, and there was a man standing on the center of Cameroon. The man was told to go off the road. He jumped out of the road and he picked a stone and threw a brick on a Mazda Bongo which was moving. The driver of the Bongo car was wounded on his forehead as a result he stopped.

“After that scenario the man started running towards Copa Cabana stoning everyone on his way including women and children. He stabbed nearly four ladies and seven men before the police arrested him here at First Street,” said Chingodza.
