Gvt Blamed For Deaths Of Zimbabweans In South Africa

Zimbabweans have blamed the government for the deaths and arrests of fellow Zimbabweans living in South Africa.

This came following a video circulating on social media showing two Zimbabwean men who were killed in a suspected attempted robbery in South Africa.

Journalist, Hopewell Chin’ono posted on twitter this afternoon saying most of these victims would have survived if they were living in their own country.
“Crime does not pay sounds like a tired cliché, but for these guys it means what it says.
“There are many layers to this story including a failed government that has made it difficult for its people to survive resulting in them flocking to South Africa,” he said.

One twitter user by the name Samaita Mutasa said he agrees with what  Chin’ono said.

“I agree, the government is partly to blame regarding Zimbabwe criminals down South.

“They are the ones who said there was no crisis in Zimbabwe, now the ball is being played in their court, they mustn’t cry foul, they had and still have an opportunity in assisting Zimbabwe to fix it’s problems,” added Mutasa.

Zimbabweans were alleged to be part of a high level criminal syndicate that was busted by police officers in Johannesburg as they were on a mission to do a cash heist.

The gang included 4 South Africans and 1 Botswana citizen.
