Bulawayo Based Comedian Clive Chigubu Dies

Top Zimbabwean comedian Clive Chigubu has succumbed to Diffuse Large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL), a type of cancer that is incurable.

He was 31.

Chigubu who passed passed on Wednesday morning is survived by a five-year-old daughter.

Recently Chigubu told state media that he was suffering from DLBC,  a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), a cancer of the lymphatic system which, according to some medical research, is said to be more common in men than it is in women. It develops when the body makes abnormal B lymphocytes.

He revealed that by the time of the interview he had not yet received any treatment due to the slow processes in the system and also financial constraints.

“This is happening while this cancer is still spreading.” Chigubu said.

Scores of fans and industry colleagues took to social media to pour their condolences at the passing away of the larger than life character.
