American Hiphop Rapper Shot Dead In Texas

American rapper Takeoff from the Atlanta based Hiphop group Migos has died.

Takeoff was shot dead on Tuesday morning in Houston, Texas over a game of dice.

He was 28.

The group’s trap hiphop genre has been very popular among young rap fans the world over.

The 28-year-old rapper, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was fatally shot at a bowling alley in Houston where he and Quavo were playing dice around 2:30AM Houston time; Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people on the premises were shot and taken to hospital.

Quavo, a fellow group member and cousin of the late was unharmed in the shooting although he was present.

On Twitter, friends and admirers paid tribute to the late rapper. “I remember Takeoff being a very down to earth, cool dude,” wrote boxer Chris Eubank Jr. “Can’t believe I’m having to say this again about another young black star being killed for no reason, something really has to change in the industry.”

Takeoff was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, in 1994. He began rapping with Quavo and Offset, his uncle and cousin, respectively, in 2008 under the collective name Polo Club.
