Trapped Redwing Miners All Alive After Successful Rescue Operation

Reports coming in from Manicaland say that the 11 trapped artisinal miners who were trapped at Redwing mine after it collapsed have all been rescued.

The lucky 11, spent the last 4 days trapped underground after the infamous Scott Sakupwana run mine collapsed yet again.

The news will come as a great relief to a nation that had held its breath for a whole four days.

Redwing gold mine, located in Penhalonga in Mutare is owned by Metallon Gold, a mining entity that is owned by South African mining tycoon Mzi Khumalo. Metallon Gold leases the mine to Scott Sakupwanya’s Better Brands group.

Sakupwanya’s company doesn’t actually do the mining but rather subcontracts artisinal miners who then mine it and give fifty percent (50%) of all the ore to the Zanu Pf Mp.
