David Morrell Jr. retained his WBA super middleweight belt on a fourth-round stoppage over the more experienced Alantez Fox at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Saturday night.
Morrell (6-0; 5) was in control from the opening bell and dominated the fight to score a knockdown in the fourth round.
Alantez (28-3-1; 13) beat the count but after another barrage of punches his corner threw in the towel. The time was 2:06.
UNDERCARD
In a lightweight bout Jose Valenzuela (11-0; 7) won on a third technical knockout over Austin Dulay (14-3; 10).
WBA No 1 rated junior welterweight Alberto Puello (20-0; 10) outscored VeShawn Owens (13-3; 12) over ten rounds.
In another junior welterweight bout Richardson Hitchins (13-0; 5) won on points over ten rounds against Malik Hawkins (18-2; 11).

GILBERTO “ZURDO” RAMIREZ WINS WBA ELIMINATOR
Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (43-0; 29) won on a tenth technical knockout over Yunieski “The Monster” Gonzalez (21-4; 17) in a WBA light heavyweight belt eliminator on Saturday night at the AT&T Centre in San Antonio, Texas.
There was plenty of action through the first four rounds before Ramirez picked up the pace and the referee waved the fight off at 1:23 into tenth round.
On the same card female WBA minimumweight champion Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada (22-0; 9) won on a fourth-round knockout against Maria “La Imparable” Santizo (9-1; 5).
Lamont Roach, Jr. (22-1-1; 9). who is listed at No 4 by the WBO and at No 10 by the WBA, won on a ten-round unanimous points decision against former WBA champion Rene “Gemelo” Alvarado (32-11; 21), to win the NABA junior lightweight title.
In a female bout, WBC flyweight champion Marlen Esparza (11-1; 1) won on a ten-round unanimous points decision over former WBA champion Anabel “Avispa” Ortiz (31-5; 4).
JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ JR RETURNS TO ACTION
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (53-6-1; 34) returned to action and won on a ten-round unanimous points decision over David Zegarra (34-7; 21) on Saturday night at the Palenque de la Feria Ganadera in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico.
JOSEPH PARKER BEATS CHISORA AGAIN
In a hard-fought encounter heavyweight Joseph Parker (30-2; 21), who is rated at WBO 2, WBC 4, IBF 4 and WBA No 13, won on a 12-round unanimous points decision over WBC No 12 Derek Chisora (32-12; 23) on Saturday night at the AO Arena in Manchester, England. Parker, a former WBO heavyweight champion, scored his second victory over Chisora.
Chisora was down in round four and again in rounds seven and eight. The scores were 115-111, 115-110 and 114 -112.
Parker won a split decision over Chisora in May.
UNDERCARD
The WBC No 3 Bridger weight Alen “The Savage” Babic stopped the southpaw journeyman David Spilmont (11-8-1; 7) in the sixth round.
In a battle of undefeated super middleweights, Lerrone Richards (16-0; 3) outscored IBO world champion Carlos Gongora (20-1; 15), winning on a 12-round split decision.
DENYS BERINCHYK RETAINS WBO INTERNATIONAL TITLE
Lightweight Denys Berinchyk (16-0; 9), who is listed at No 3 by the WBO and at No 9 by the IBF, retained his WBO International title on a 12-round unanimous points decision against WBO No 14 Isa Chaniev (15-4; 7) on Saturday at the Ice Palace in Brovary, Ukraine. The scores were 118-110, 118-111, and 116-112.
Heavyweight Vladyslav Sirenko (19-0; 16) won on a sixth-round technical knockout over Andriy Rudenko (34-6; 20). However, the referee stopped the action when Rudenko did not appear to be in any trouble. Time was 0:45.
2016 Olympian junior middleweight Dmytro Mytrofanov (12-0-1; 6) won on a third-round stoppage when Berikbay Nurymbetov (8-5-1; 3) did not come out at the bell due to a hand injury.
Lightweight Arnold Khegai (17-1-1; 10) outscored Vincente Martin Rodriguez (39-9-1; 21) over ten rounds. No scores were announced.
