WHO And Disney Junior Reminds Kids To Wash Hands

WHO and Disney Junior’s  Doc McStuffins have joined forces  to remind children around the world of the importance of thorough handwashing in preventing the spread of germs and disease.

Disney Junior’s Doc McStuffins, is a story of a young girl who aspires to follow in her doctor mother’s footsteps and practices by treating whatever ails her toys, she is then joined by her “patients” in a hand washing public service announcement.

Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General said washing hands is critical as it prevent the spread of diseases including Covid -19.

“Washing your hands regularly with soap and water is one of the most important and most basic steps keeping safe from COVID-19 and many other pathogens,

“It is also one of the most effective ways to prevent antimicrobial resistant diseases.” He said.
