
The remains of the murdered 7 year old Murehwa boy, Tapiwa Makore are expected to be buried at the end of this month.
In an interview with the media, Munyaradzi Makore, father of the late Tapiwa said that the his remains will be laid to rest on 27 March 2021.
“We are going to bury our son on March 27. We are yet to find the missing head but as a family we agreed to proceed with the burial.” He said.
He said Tapiwa’s burial was delayed due to investigation of his murder and the failure to located some of his body parts as well as family disagreements and the Covid -19 restrictions.
However, in the wake of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s relaxation of the lockdown and Covid -19 regulations on the 1st of March the Makore family has decided to proceed with the burial.
It’s reported that Chief Mangwende, under whose jurisdiction the family lives, will preside over the burial.
Meanwhile Tapiwa’s two uncles, Thanks and Tapiwa Makore are still in custody awaiting trial for the gruesome murder of their 7yrear old nephew.
Yesterday the Makore family rejected the latest DNA test results which indicated that the head that was found belonged to their son, stating that they believed the head was much older than their son was hence it couldn’t be his.
