Masvingo province has so far received more Covid- 19 vaccine, looking forward for a very successful second phase.
TellZim Masvingo Provincial Information Officer Rogers Irimayi posted on his twitter handle that the new doses will support the provincial second phase of the vaccination program which was launched in Victoria Falls on March 24.
”We now have new doses thanks to our government. We now expect the second dose that was launched at National level by President Mnangagwa.” The post reads.
Masvingo province yesterday received 65000 more doses of the vaccine after the initial 22 000 doses that was received on February 19 ran out.
Tell Zim last week reported that the 22 o00 Sinophram doses allocated to Masvingo for the first phase of the vaccination roll out had run out.
The second vaccine is targeting teachers, the elderly, the chronically ill people in the hospitality industry and others.
