ZAOGA Implore Youths To Shun Drug Abuse

Zimbawean News You Can Trust

Seated on a secluded white chair with dozens of women standing at her back, beside a fancy huge banner of her late husband, the Zimbabwe Assembies of God Africa (ZAOGA Forward in Faith) Archbishop Eunor Guti emotionally implored youths to shun drug abuse and seek the word of God.

Apostole Eunor Guti, who is the widow of the late ZAOGA Forwad in Faith Ministries Archbishop Ezekiel Guti, said this last week Saturday on the sidelines of the Ezekiel Guti Day walkerthon, which was done to uphold the late man of cloth’s legacy.

Addressing journalists, Eunor Guti said youths who abuse drugs were once good people, but when they ventured into drugs, their future took an opposite direction, insisting the “right and correct driver is Jesus Christ, the son of the living God”.

She said, “Please Youths, I implore you to stay away from drugs and seek the word of God.” Let me tell you young people, you desire to be a pilot, lawyer, doctor, and to have a family, but if you abuse drugs, your future will be shattered.

“People you see smoking in the city were once good people, but because they took the bad driver, the driver took them in the wrong direction.”

The late Archbishop Guti’s walkerthon was blessed with many events, including a music concert, the Ezekiel Handinwangu Guti Foundation launch, and the legacy awards.

Various groups within the ZAOGA church scooped different awards, including best ZAOGA gospel composer, best gospel artist, best female artists among other categories.

Pastor Levi Mlilo, who won the Best Zaoga Gospel artists, said he was grateful for the award, as this will continue to energize him to do God’s work.

Aaron Manatsa, who won the best music producer award, failed to even say a word, but just said thanks to Eunor Guti, as he shed tears of joy in front of over 3 000 ZAOGA congregants who had come to celebrate Guti’s legacy.

Meanwhile, prominent gospel musicians Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave and Sebastian Magacha also scooped their trophies for their hard work in praising the word of God through gospel music.
