Government and civil servants have come to an agreement on salary adjustments and costs of living.
In a statement, the Public Service Commission said the government came to an agreement with civil servants unions during the National Joint Negotiating Council held yesterday in Harare in which they agreed on the cost of living adjustment effective from November 1.
The Public Service Commission also said they agreed with civil servants on this year’s bonus payment dates.
“They also agreed on payment modalities for the 2020 annual budget, which will be paid in two phases, the first in November 2020 and the second in December 2020.” The statement read.
Meanwhile, the Public Service Commission said government will continue to engage with civil servants so as to improve the economy.
“Government and its workers will continue to engage in order to continuously improve conditions of service in tandem with improvements in the economy and in revenue performance.” The statement further read.
